About the Opportunity
The Executive Officer is a trusted strategic advisor to the Dean, providing executive leadership across governance, strategic planning, organisational initiatives and operational priorities.
Working closely with the Faculty Leadership Team, the role provides high-quality advice, drives complex strategic projects, and ensures the effective coordination and delivery of the faculty's key priorities.
Operating in a complex and fast-paced environment, the Executive Officer exercises sound judgement, builds strong relationships across the University, and influences outcomes through collaboration, strategic thinking and exceptional stakeholder management.
The role also supports the implementation of the UTS **** Strategy and Faculty priorities through high-quality governance, reporting and evidence-based decision making.
About You
We are seeking an experienced strategic qualified who thrives in complex environments and enjoys working at the centre of executive decision-making.
You are known for your sound judgement, discretion and ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and diverse stakeholders.
You bring a collaborative leadership style, exceptional organisational skills and the ability to influence outcomes, navigate ambiguity and deliver strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
You are equally comfortable thinking strategically and rolling up your sleeves to ensure successful execution.
As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated experience in:
• Providing high-level strategic advice and executive support to senior leaders,



including exercising sound judgement, anticipating issues, preparing executive briefings and supporting evidence-based decision making.
• Supporting governance processes, committee management, regulatory reporting, policy development, audit or institutional assurance within a complex organisation.
• Planning, leading and implementing strategic projects and organisational change initiatives, managing competing priorities to delivering outcomes.
• Communicating effectively, building trusted relationships, influencing outcomes, and working effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Developing capability, coaching others and contributing to a positive, high-performing team environment.
• Employing highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience using digital technologies, data analytics, dashboards and contemporary productivity tools.

Remuneration
Base Salary Range: $143,080 - $149,894 p.a. (HEW 9), plus 17% superannuation.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.

• Ability to prepare committee and executive quality reports and provide strategic decision support to senior executives.

• Proficient in project planning, tracking, monitoring and implementation.
• Knowledge of governance, enterprise risk and compliance practices in large public institutions.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment with the ability to persuade others to work towards the achievement of UTS and Faculty goals and priorities.
• Explicit and concise written and oral communication, organisational and relationship management skills.
• Strong digital technology skills including demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office suite, in particular spreadsheets, project management tools, data analysis dashboards and AI productivity tools.
