Cooltrans is seeking an experienced Interstate MC Driver to join our professional road transport team.
This is a casual position based in Dandenong South, VIC, offering approximately 2-3 trips per week.
You will be responsible for safely transporting goods across interstate routes, maintaining our reputation for reliable and efficient delivery services.
This role is critical to our operations, ensuring timely and secure delivery of products to our customers whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.Key responsibilitiesOperating a MC (multi-combination) vehicle safely and efficiently across interstate routesConducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and complianceMaintaining accurate logbooks and delivery documentation in accordance with road transport regulationsAdhering to all traffic laws, speed limits and fatigue management requirementsCommunicating effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issuesSecuring and protecting cargo to prevent damage during transitPerforming basic vehicle maintenance and reporting mechanical issues promptlyContributing to a safety-first culture and reporting near-misses or hazardsMaintaining professional standards in customer interactions and vehicle presentationWhat we're looking forCurrent and valid MC Driver's Licence with interstate experienceMinimum 2-3 years' recent experience driving multi-combination vehicles on interstate routesA clean driving record with no major traffic violationsStrong knowledge of fatigue management rules and heavy vehicle regulationsExcellent mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic vehicle maintenanceStrong communication and customer service skillsReliability, punctuality and a professional approach to workFlexibility to accommodate regular weekend workWhat we offerAt Cooltrans, we value our drivers and offer a competitive casual employment arrangement with flexible scheduling.
