With a strong pipeline of secured work, they're looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to oversee the design management of projects valued up to $40M.This is an opportunity to join a collaborative business that values quality, innovation and long-term client relationships while delivering projects that genuinely benefit the community.The OpportunityWorking closely with the Pre-Construction and Project Delivery teams, you'll manage the design process from tender through to project completion, ensuring designs are practical, coordinated, compliant and buildable.
You'll be responsible for driving collaboration between consultants, clients and construction teams to achieve the best possible project outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design management process across multiple commercial construction projects.Coordinate architects, engineers and specialist consultants throughout design and construction.Review design documentation for buildability,



compliance and construction methodology.Manage design programmes to ensure deliverables align with project milestones.Facilitate design workshops and consultant coordination meetings.Identify and resolve design issues before they impact programme or budget.Drive value engineering initiatives while maintaining design intent and quality.Support procurement by ensuring documentation is complete and coordinated.Work closely with Project Managers and Site Managers throughout project delivery.Manage statutory approvals and consultant deliverables.About You:Experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator within a commercial building contractor.Experience delivering education, healthcare, government or institutional projects.Strong understanding of construction methodology and buildability.Excellent consultant management and stakeholder engagement skills.Knowledge of the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.Relevant tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.Why Join?
