Head Carpenter / All-Round Tradesman – Commercial FitoutsWe're looking for an experiencedqualified carpenter / all-round tradesmanto join our team working across commercial fit out projects.This is not a role where you'll be doing carpentry all day, every day.
We're a builder, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable getting involved inall aspects of a projectand doing whatever is required to keep the job moving.You'll work closely with our Project Managers while taking the lead on site with a team oftwo apprentice carpenters.The RoleYour day-to-day work will include:Leading and working alongside two apprentice carpentersGeneral carpentry and fit out worksReading plans and working from drawingsCoordinating day-to-day works with our Project ManagersKeeping apprentices productive and helping develop their skillsSite set-up, protection and preparationDefects, finishing and detailed worksGeneral building and miscellaneous trade worksAssisting other trades where requiredProblem-solving and working through issues on siteKeeping the site organised,



clean and moving efficientlyMaking sure works are completed to a high standardWho We're Looking ForWe're after someone who is:Aqualified carpenterExperienced in commercial fitoutsConfident running and supervising apprenticesHands‐on and happy to work alongside the teamAn all‐rounder who isn't afraid to take on work outside of carpentryAble to read plans and understand construction detailsAble to communicate well with Project Managers, subcontractors and clientsReliable, organised and able to think aheadParticular about quality and finishingAble to work independently without needing to be constantly supervisedMost importantly, we want someone with the right attitude.
If something needs doing on site, we want someone who is willing to get in and get it done rather than saying,"that's not my trade."About the PositionThis is a hands‐on role with plenty of responsibility and would suit an experienced carpenter who wants to step into aleading role within a commercial building company.You'll have two apprentices working with you and the support of our Project Managers, but we want someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day works on site and help us deliver quality projects.If you're a positive carpenter, know your way around a building site, can lead a small team and are happy to turn your hand to whatever needs doing,we'd like to hear from you.
