We are a Child Safe Organisation and are committed to early intervention, prevention and inclusive practice.Our work is guided by our core values of Respect, Collaboration, Innovation, Integrity, and Inclusion & Diversity.About the RoleWe are seeking passionate and experienced Therapeutic Specialists to join our Therapeutic and Victim Support Services (TVSS) team and will act as a specialist therapeutic consultant and practitioner within the therapeutic residential care program for Inner and Outer Gippsland.We currently have two fixed-term positions with a combined total of 1.5 FTE.The Therapeutic Specialist will act as a specialist therapeutic consultant and practitioner within the therapeutic residential care program.They will form a key part of the care team developed for each child in the program.
You will provide specialist therapeutic support to the carers and other members of the care team, facilitate reflective practice,



and deliver specialised training about trauma and therapeutic care to professionals and carers.
There will also be direct therapeutic work with children where appropriate.You will also contribute clinical expertise to care teams, helping to coordinate a consistent and holistic response for each young person.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver individual counselling and dyadic therapeutic work with young people and their parents/carersComplete comprehensive psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, and case formulationsDevelop and facilitate therapeutic group programsCollaborate with care teams and external stakeholders to coordinate effective support plansProvide secondary consultation and clinical guidance to professionals working with young peopleMaintain accurate documentation, case notes, and reporting requirementsParticipate in reflective practice, supervision, and ongoing professional developmentAbout YouYou are a skilled and compassionate practitioner who is committed to trauma-informed, client-centred practice.
You thrive in collaborative environments and bring robust clinical insight to complex situations.To be successful, you will have:Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work,
