About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Regional Operations Manager to lead the operational performance of our Victorian fleet
Reporting to the General Manager – Delta Rent, you will oversee fleet maintenance, servicing, compliance, and asset performance while leading a high‐performing operations team.
Working closely with Sales, Workshop, and Logistics, you'll ensure our equipment is maintained, available, and ready to meet customer demand.
This is a leadership role where your ability to make sound commercial decisions and drive continuous improvement will directly contribute to the success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day‐to‐day operations of the regional fleet.
Oversee maintenance planning, servicing and major repairs.
Manage operational budgets and maintenance expenditure.
Coordinate breakdown response and minimise equipment downtime.
Ensure compliance with OEM,



safety and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with Sales to optimise fleet availability.
Drive operational improvements and develop your team.
About You
You'll be an experienced operations leader with a strong background in heavy equipment, construction, mining or plant hire.
You will have:
Experience managing heavy mobile plant or equipment fleets.
Mechanical aptitude in heavy earthmoving equipment to identify and manage technical matters.
Knowledge of preventative maintenance and asset management.
A proactive, solutions‐focused approach.
The ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Excellent commercial and financial acumen.
Solid leadership and people management skills.
Relevant mechanical, engineering, or trade qualifications will be highly regarded.
