You will support initiatives that strengthen healthy eating, physical activity, social connection, and overall wellbeing by building partnerships, facilitating engagement, and empowering local people to lead solutions that matter to them.What You'll Be DoingCommunity-Led DevelopmentWork alongside community members to identify local priorities, strengths, and opportunities that support improved health and wellbeing outcomes.Partnership BuildingDevelop and maintain strong relationships with community groups, local organisations, schools, businesses, government agencies, and other stakeholders.Health Promotion & PreventionSupport place-based and prevention-focused initiatives that encourage healthy lifestyles, social connection, and community participation.Community EngagementFacilitate meaningful engagement activities, workshops, meetings, and events that encourage community participation and ownership.Project CoordinationPlan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate community wellbeing initiatives that respond to local needs and priorities.Advocacy & Capacity BuildingEmpower communities by supporting local leadership, strengthening networks,
and building community capacity to drive long-term change.Communication & StorytellingDevelop engaging communications that highlight community achievements, share impact stories, and promote wellbeing initiatives across multiple platforms.Collaboration & TeamworkWork collaboratively with colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals and strengthen community wellbeing outcomes.Monitoring & EvaluationCollect and analyse information to measure project outcomes, demonstrate impact, and support continuous improvement.Quality & Continuous ImprovementContribute to organisational planning, reporting, quality improvement activities, and the achievement of strategic community health objectives.What You BringKnowledge and understanding of community development principles, including participation, empowerment, and community capacity building.Experience or interest in community health, health promotion, place-based approaches, or preventative health initiatives.Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Experience in project coordination, community engagement, or partnership development (desirable).
Confidence using digital communication tools and social media platforms (desirable).
