7/7 Roster | Permanent Full Time | Residential position based in Broken Hill NSWBroken Hill Mines is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Underground Electrical Tradesperson to join our Electrical Maintenance team on a residential 7/7 roster.About the RoleReporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will work closely with the Electrical Maintenance team to install, maintain and repair surface, underground and processing plant electrical equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly and to a high standard.This role plays a critical part in maintaining electrical infrastructure that supports continuous mining and processing operations.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain and repair surface, underground and processing plant electrical equipmentCarry out fault finding, diagnostics and corrective maintenance on electrical systemsMaintain electrical infrastructure in line with site, statutory and legislative requirementsComplete all work to a high standard with robust attention to detailActively participate in safety meetings, risk assessments and safe work proceduresMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationWork collaboratively within the Electrical Maintenance team and across departmentsProvide a high level of service and support to operational stakeholdersAbout YouRelevant Electrical Trade Qualification or Certificate of ProficiencyHigh Voltage Electrical Operator training (highly regarded)The ability to understand and interpret all types of electrical drawings and schematicsUnderground mining electrical experience, including installation,

The mine has operated for over 120 years, producing zinc and lead concentrates sold globally.
The Pinnacles Mine, situated 15km southwest of Broken Hill, is known for containing one of the area's highest-grade and shallowest silver-zinc-lead deposits.
Despite being largely undeveloped, small-scale historical mining has occurred over the past 120 years.
