As our project pipeline continues to expand, we are strengthening our division with experienced professionals who take ownership and pride in delivering high-quality outcomes.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced individual to join our Projects Division as a Project Manager with a genuine trade background who understands construction from the ground up.
You'll take ownership of project delivery across our commercial and residential renovation work, guiding our Project Supervisors and working closely with the Projects Department to keep every job on program, on budget and to spec.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has come up through the trades, knows what good site management looks like, and is ready to take the next step into managing multiple projects and people.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage commercial and residential projects from planning through to handoverGuide, support and mentor Project Supervisors across multiple live sitesManage project budgets, programs, variations and progress claimsDevelop and maintain project programs and Gantt charts to track milestones, sequencing and progress across all active sitesPrepare cost estimates, budgets and cost forecasts, and maintain regular oversight of project expenditure after project execution has been handed over to the Project Supervisors.Provide support in coordinating subcontractors,
trades and suppliers where matters are escalated or fall outside the Project Supervisors' control, to ensure projects remain on schedule.Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor quality, safety and progressIdentify and resolve site issues early, before they impact program or budgetEnsure compliance with WHS regulations, building codes and quality standardsMaintain transparent communication with clients, stakeholders and internal teams throughout each projectPrepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, forecasts and site records, for senior managementRequired Skills and ExperienceMinimum 3+ years' project management experience or in a similar capacity within the building and construction industryExcellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skillsProven experience managing commercial and/or residential renovation projectsExperience guiding or supervising Project Supervisors, Site Supervisors or similar site-based teamsAbility to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentConfident building and reading Gantt charts and project programs (e.g. MS Project, Procore or similar)Strong cost estimation and budgeting skillHigh attention to detail in project documentation, reporting and record-keepingProficiency with project management and scheduling softwareTrade qualification and/or Diploma of Building and Construction (Management) highly regardedBuilder's Licence is an advantageCurrent Construction Induction (White Card)Hold a current valid driver's licenceHold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC), or be willing to obtain one.What We OfferCompany vehicle will be provided for attending and servicing client sitesA stable, long-term career opportunity with a growing Australian businessSupportive workplace culture where your contribution is valued
