The VACCA team is committed to the organisation's visions and values, passionately providing support, service and advocacy for our children and other vulnerable members of the community.Our strength lies with our people.About the roleThis role supports Aboriginal women, children, young people and families on their healing journey through culturally safe, trauma-informed therapeutic support.
By strengthening connections to culture, identity, family and community, the Family Violence Therapeutic Counsellor helps create pathways to safety, wellbeing and recovery, while working alongside Elders, community and partner services to deliver meaningful and culturally responsive support.About YouYou are a compassionate and culturally aware practitioner who is committed to supporting Aboriginal women, children and young people impacted by family violence.
You build strong, respectful relationships and engage clients in a flexible, trauma-informed way that promotes safety, healing and wellbeing.
Comfortable working across community settings, you provide advocacy, referrals and practical support while maintaining strong partnerships with Elders, community members and service providers.
You are highly organised, reflective in your practice and committed to delivering culturally safe, high-quality support that makes a meaningful difference in people's lives.A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology,
