Working within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales, profit and inventory performance across a key merchandise portfolio.If you enjoy making commercial decisions, influencing strategy and partnering closely with Buying teams to deliver outstanding retail results, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.The RoleReporting to the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering merchandise financial plans that maximise sales, profit and stock productivity.Key responsibilities include:Develop seasonal merchandise plans and budgetsForecast sales,



gross profit and inventory performanceAnalyse trading results and identify commercial opportunitiesManage Open-to-Buy and stock investmentReview and reforecast weekly and monthly performanceRecommend markdown and promotional strategiesPartner closely with Buying teams to build commercially successful rangesMonitor key performance indicators including sell through, stock turn, margin and GMROIPrepare detailed reporting and recommendations for senior leadershipIdentify risks and opportunities and implement corrective actionMentor and support Planning Analysts where requiredAbout YouTo be successful you will ideally possess:Previous experience as a Merchandise Planner within retailStrong commercial acumen and analytical capabilityAdvanced Excel skillsExperience working with planning systemsExcellent forecasting and inventory management skillsAbility to influence stakeholders through data and commercial insightStrong communication and presentation skillsHighly organised with exceptional attention to detailAbility to thrive in a fast-paced retail environmentExperience within apparel, accessories, footwear, children's products, general merchandise or specialty retail will be highly regarded.If you are looking for your next career move with an iconic retailer where your planning expertise will genuinely influence business performance, we'd love to hear from you.All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
