We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time Mortuary Preparation Assistant to join our compassionate and qualified team at Highgate.
This position plays an important role in supporting our mortuary operations and ensuring every person in our care is treated with dignity and respect.
About the Role
This position involves the respectful preparation and transfer of deceased individuals, supporting families during dressing, and maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control.
Due to the nature of the role and industry health standards, full vaccinations are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare deceased for viewings and funerals with care and dignity
Assist families with dressing of deceased
Maintain mortuary hygiene and cleanliness to a high standard
Respect and accommodate diverse religious and cultural practices




Apply infectious disease control protocols
Work collaboratively within a supportive team
Previous experience in a mortuary or similar role is highly regarded

Must hold full Australian Residency
