The opportunityWindsor Meats is seeking a Butcher Shop Sales Assistant to join our team in Malvern, SA ****.
This is a casual role that will provide you with the opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment and gain valuable experience in the meat and butchery industry.
The position would be for 30 to 43 hours per across 4 or 5 days a week with overtime, including Saturdays.
No Sundays.
There is opportunity for this role to develop into a full time position for a suitable candidate.
Key responsibilities
Providing excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection and answering any queries they may have
Preparing and packaging meat products according to specifications
Restocking shelves and ensuring the retail space is well-maintained, clean and presentable
Following all health and safety regulations within the butcher shop
Supporting the butchers with various tasks as required
What we're looking for




Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, preferably within the food or hospitality industry, but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
Keen eye for detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently
A passion for high-quality meat products and a willingness to learn about different cuts and preparation methods
Adaptability and the ability to work well within a close-knit team environment
