Job DescriptionFULL TIME 38 HOURS PER WEEK MINIMUM 4 WEEKS ANNUAL LEAVE SALARY PLUS SUPER
$115K PA - $130K PA HEDLAND HARBOUR INDUSTRIES PTY LTD is looking for Diesel Motor Mechanics for their site.
HHI (Hedland Harbour Industries) is a locally owned and operated company based in Port Hedland, Western Australia, providing integrated crane hire, transport, logistics, rigging, scaffolding, and heavy lifting solutions throughout the Pilbara region.
With over 12 years of industry experience, HHI services the mining, civil, commercial, and industrial sectors using a contemporary fleet of cranes, trucks, and specialist equipment.
The company is committed to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient lifting and logistics solutions, supported by an experienced team available 24/7 for scheduled projects, maintenance, shutdowns, and emergency breakdowns.
To be considered for the role, you need to have a relevant industry qualification or at least 1-2 years' experience in a similar position.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: -Experience with trucks, buses and other heavy vehicles -Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
-Dismantling and removing engine assemblies,



transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts -Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed -Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
-Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired -Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance -Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
-Familiar with hydraulic systems -May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness -Respond to vehicle breakdown service calls
-Truck or heavy vehicle licence highly desirable -Experience with hydraulics and earthmoving equipment highly desirable -Experience with agricultural and farming equipment is highly desirable.
