Hotel Handyman / MaintenanceLocation: Quest Townsville on Eyre, North WardEmployment Type: Casual 3-5 shifts per weekAbout the RoleWe are looking for a reliable and skilled Hotel Handyman / Maintenance to join our team.
You will play a key role in ensuring our hotel is well-maintained, safe, and presented to the highest standard for our guests.
If you're practical, proactive, and enjoy solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out general maintenance and repair work throughout the hotel.Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.Complete basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, and electrical repairs (within qualifications).
Maintain air conditioning, lighting, doors, locks,



and other building fixtures.Assist with preventative maintenance programs to minimise equipment downtime.Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.Coordinate with external contractors when specialist repairs are required.Keep maintenance records and report any major issues to management.What We're Looking ForPrevious experience in building maintenance, hotel maintenance, or a similar handyman role.Practical knowledge of general repairs including plumbing, painting, carpentry, and minor electrical work.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.Friendly, professional attitude with excellent customer service skills.Good physical fitness and ability to lift and carry equipment.A current driver's licence (preferred).
