About the opportunity:
Abbeyfield Australia operate three houses in the ACT.
Our home is a large, family style home offering supportive group housing up to ten older residents and residents with mild disabilities, and our Housekeepers plays a big part in our residents' happiness and wellbeing.
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Cook to join our houses, preparing meals for older people and/or people with disabilities.
You will play a vital role in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that cater to the dietary needs of our residents.
This is an enjoyable and rewarding role for the right person who can cook healthy tasty meals and enjoys the company of people.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals in accordance with menu plans, and resident preferences.
Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised kitchen environment in line with food safety standards.




Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
Participate in stock ordering, rotation, menu planning and waste management.
Cleaning common areas of the house.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Relevant qualification as a Cook (Minimum requirement, Food Handling Certificate)
Experience in cooking meals for up to 10 People.
The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a team-oriented team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
