About the role:

As Manager, Academy Operations, you will lead the delivery of integrated facility and student support services across the Victoria Police Academy and associated training and accommodation sites. This includes accommodation, front-of-house and back-of-house food service, facilities, security, events, student services and related operational support functions.

The role provides leadership across a multi-disciplinary team and works with senior internal and external stakeholders to maintain safe, secure, professional and customer-focused environments that support recruit, student and member learning, development and accommodation outcomes.

Your duties will include:

- Leading and coordinating facility, student support, accommodation, food service and services across Academy, training and accommodation sites.
- Managing day-to-day service delivery across facilities, infrastructure, information technology planning, contractor arrangements, security, emergency management, events and student services.
- Coaching and supporting a multi-disciplinary team to deliver consistent, professional and responsive services.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues, manage risks and support continuous improvement.
- Providing clear advice to senior executives and leadership teams on complex academy operations, service delivery and reform matters.

About You:

The successful candidate will ideally bring the following skills and experience:

- Experience leading complex operational and service delivery functions across multiple sites.
- High level capability in asset and contractor management, governance, budget management and the delivery of significant service contracts and programs.
- Experience mentoring and coaching diverse teams to support high performance, service quality and continuous improvement.
- Sound judgement, with the ability to analyse complex issues, manage risk and develop practical solutions aligned to organisational priorities.
- Clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to negotiate, influence and build productive working relationships.

Further Information:

- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at the Victoria Police Academy, Glen Waverley,



with responsibility across multiple Victoria Police training, accommodation and campus sites.
- This position is classified as VPS Grade 6.2.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo and successfully obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance. To obtain this clearance, applicants must be an Australian Citizen or apply for and be successful in obtaining a citizenship waiver.
- A current Victorian Driver Licence is required. The successful candidate must hold or qualify for an appropriate Victoria Police driving authority within three (3) months.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks, which may include fingerprint checks, misconduct screening, a statutory declaration and consent for Victoria Police to contact current and previous employer(s) to substantiate past conduct.
- The incumbent will be required to complete the occupational health and safety requirements of the organisation, which may include local level training relating to equipment usage and hazardous chemicals.
