The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is the lead South Australian Government agency for sport, active recreation and racing. ORSR supports sport and recreation organisations, local government, and the community by providing leadership and support through the development and delivery of funding, policy, programs, infrastructure planning and management, and high-performance pathways.

About the Division - SASI
The South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) is the High Performance Sports hub in South Australia. Its purpose is empowering people to achieve their sporting dreams and inspiring South Australians. SASI does this by:

Role Details
This role provides practical engineering support across SASI,



and predominantly in the SASI Para Unit program and the Australian Centre for Sports Aerodynamics. It combines engineering design with hands-on technician responsibilities. The focus is on developing, building, and implementing athlete-specific solutions, while supporting the technical operation and reliability of key performance infrastructure, including the wind tunnel. The position works closely with athletes, coaches, and performance staff to translate performance challenges into effective, usable outcomes.

Special Conditions

- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- This role requires a working with children check.

Essential Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Rehabilitation or other similar field)
- 2 years industry applied engineering experience in an applicable field
- Current driver's licence

PO2 - Professional Officer

Salary Range
$94,769 - $109,787 p.a.
