The Attorney General's Department invites expressions of interest for appointment as the Independent National Security Legislation Monitor (INSLM).
The INSLM reviews Australia's national security and counter‐terrorism laws, assessing protections for rights, proportionality, and necessity.
The role may be full‐time or part‐time, with a statutory term of up to 3 years.
Applicants must be able to obtain Positive Vetting or Top Secret-Privileged Access clearance and will operate from Canberra.
