Assistant Accountant / Accounts Receivable

Our client is a well-established and growing construction company delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant / Accounts Receivable professional to join their finance team.
About the Role
This diverse role combines accounts receivable, job administration, cash flow management and management accounting support. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in supporting the financial and administrative operations of multiple construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts receivable, including aged debtors, invoicing, progress claims, collections and client statements.
Process payments, credit notes, variations and maintain accurate debtor records.
Manage daily cash flow, bank reconciliations and weekly cash flow reporting.
Support job administration, including job setup, reconciliations, reporting and Jobpac support.
Assist with month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, audit requirements and management reporting.
Maintain asset, lease and intercompany records.
About You




To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Receivable or Finance Administration role, ideally within construction or a project-based workplace.
Experience with Jobpac or similar construction accounting software (highly desirable).
Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, reconciliations and month-end processes.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with finance and project teams.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
