Disability Support Worker - Western Sydney, NSW
A Gentleman with spinal cordinjury (SCI) based in St.Marys (Western Sydney) requires a committed Support Worker to provide Personal Care.
About you:
You are reliable with valuable work ethic and understand the importance of providing care with dignity and respect. You have valuable communication, are self-motivated, with a calm, caring approach, and looking to make an invaluable positive impact on the lives of others.
Anyone living locally with experience supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries would be considered highly desirable, however, reliable and compassionate applicants with a genuine interest are encouraged to apply.
About the Role:
You will be working closely with our member in their own home providing care and supports which include:
Personal care (including Bowel Care and Catheter Care)



showering, grooming and dressing
Meal Preparation
Domestic Support
Medication Management
Assistance with mobility needs - Ceiling Hoist, Manual Wheelchair, Power Wheelchair.
Commitment to this role is essential!
Support Shifts across Monday to Friday available but not limited to:
7:30am - 10:30am
Covering other Support Workers when away or sick
Flexibility is a must.
Requirements:
You must have the right to live and work in Australia
A National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Experience working within the Disability Sector (desirable)
