A well-established Hobart-based public practice firm is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to take ownership of a client portfolio and provide day-to-day leadership across workflow, client delivery and team support.

The RoleAs the Tax Accountant,



you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and ensuring high-quality delivery across compliance and business services, while also supporting the team and maintaining workflow oversight.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of clients end-to-end, acting as a trusted, client-facing advisorOversee delivery across business services and compliance, including:Financial statements and income tax returnsBAS/GST and general complianceTax planning and advisory support (where required)Provide day-to-day leadership and technical support to the team:Respond to staff queriesReview work and ensure quality controlMonitor workflow and job progress to keep deliverables on trackCoordinate effectively with the offshore team, including regular check-ins with the offshore team leadLiaise with the ATO and external stakeholders as requiredIdentify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client outcomes
