Animal Attendant / Dog Trainer
At Golden K9, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and training to the dogs in our care. We are looking for a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Animal Attendant/Dog Trainer to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our clients and their dogs.
As an Animal Attendant / Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for the care and training of dogs in a safe, nurturing, and professional setting. You will provide daily care routines, maintain the cleanliness of the facility, and implement training programs that encourage desirable behaviours. Candidates will be required to have their own ABN as it is a contract position.
Key Responsibilities
Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, exercise, and basic grooming.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace for animals and staff.
Implement dog training techniques with an emphasis on positive reinforcement.




Conduct individual and group training sessions to address specific behavioural issues.
Monitor the progress of each dog and provide feedback to owners.
Communicate with pet owners about their dogs' behaviour and care needs.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all animals in your care.
Assist with general administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with animals, specifically dogs, in a care or training capacity.
Certification or relevant training in dog behaviour, obedience training, or animal care is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and pets.
A patient, compassionate, and responsible attitude toward animals.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Versatile availability, including weekends.
