A vacancy exists for an experienced Farmer at Gin Gin QLD, located 5 minutes from town and schools.
An attractive wage package is available for the right person to oversee the operation of a 24 hectare avocado orchard and the adjoining cane farm.
Duties include:
Day-to-day operation of both farms.
Fertigation and irrigation of the avocado orchard through a sprinkler system.
Preparation and cultivation for cane planting and rotational crops eg soybeans and winter cereal crops for baling.
Experience required:
Tractor operation with GPS.
Slashing.
Chemical spraying.
Centre and lateral pivot operation.
Licences preferred (but not essential):
Chemical handling accreditation.
HR truck licence.
