Retail Settlements Officer-12 month contract

Yamaha Motor Finance Australiaisseeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic settlements officer to join our retail settlements team on amaternity leave cover for a period of 12 months.Reporting to the Retail Settlements Team Leader based in NSW, this role will suit applicants with experience in the settlements and loan compliance function within the automotive asset finance industry.
In this role you will:
Review consumer and commercial loan documentation to ensure compliance with credit policy;
Advise introducers of discrepancies in information and/or documentation;
Assist introducers in rectifying discrepancies in a timely manner;
Undertake proof of employment verifications;
Complete proof of income validation;
Integral in identifying and implementing operational efficiencies to improve productivity, simplify processes and to reduce turn‐around time.
Manage the effectiveness of Yamaha Motor Finance interactions with internal and external stakeholders;




Point of contact for all retail compliance related matters.
Embedding compliance with Australian and Recent Zealand Responsible Lending, Anti Money Laundering laws, NCCP, Privacy Laws and Trade Practices Laws;
Assisting with training current employees and continuous improvement activities
To be considered for this role you must have:
Minimum 3 years' experience in retail compliance.
Diligent, analytical, negotiating and influencing skills.
Understanding of compliance obligations including NCC, ASIC and ACL.
Cooperative and effective team member.
Prior finance company experience, in an operational role.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to meet daily settlement deadlines.
Accuracy of data entry.
