About the Role

This is a hands‑on, wide-ranging position that includes making coffee, serving customers, taking orders, processing payments, serving food and drinks, and helping maintain a clean and welcoming café.

You will work closely with our team to provide a friendly and efficient experience for every customer.

Applicants without previous barista experience will receive training in coffee preparation, milk texturing, customer service, point‑of‑sale operation, food handling, and general café procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing coffee and other hot and cold beverages

- Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner

- Taking dine‑in and takeaway orders accurately

- Operating the point‑of‑sale system and processing payments

- Serving food and beverages to customers

- Clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables





- Maintaining a clean coffee station, front counter, and dining area

- Restocking milk, cups, takeaway products, and other supplies

- Assisting with basic food preparation when required

- Supporting the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams during busy periods

- Assisting with opening and closing procedures

- Following food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements

- Responding to customer questions and requests professionally

- Helping create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers

Barista Duties

Depending on your experience and training, barista duties will include:

- Preparing espresso‑based coffees, including flat whites, cappuccinos, lattes, long blacks, piccolos, and macchiatos

- Using and cleaning a commercial coffee machine and grinder

- Texturing milk correctly for different beverages

- Maintaining consistent coffee quality and presentation

- Adjusting the grinder and coffee settings when required

- Keeping the coffee station clean, organised, and fully stocked

No Experience? Training Is Provided

Previous barista or hospitality experience is not required for the right applicant.

We will provide training in:

- Using a commercial coffee machine

- Preparing different types of coffee

- Milk texturing and basic coffee presentation

- Taking customer orders

- Using the point‑of‑sale system

- Serving food and beverages

- Food safety and hygiene procedures

- Opening and closing duties

- General café operations

To be considered without experience, you must be enthusiastic, dependable, willing to learn,



and comfortable working in a busy customer‑service environment.

Experience

Previous experience in any of the following areas will be highly regarded but is not essential:

- Barista work

- Café or restaurant service

- Retail or customer service

- Point‑of‑sale systems

- Food preparation

- Hospitality

Both experienced baristas and entry‑level applicants are encouraged to apply.
