This is a rare prospect to join a growing business on Sydney's Lower North Shore and lead apayroll review/ transformation project from the ground up.Working closely with the CFO, you'll conduct a comprehensive review of the payroll function across systems, processes, controls, and people before designing and implementing a smarter, more productive future-state payroll operation.This is far more than BAU payroll.
It's a genuine transformation assignment where your expertise, recommendations, and leadership will directly shape the future of the function.Key responsibilities include:Reviewing payroll processes, controls & workflows to identify risks and inefficienciesAssessing the capability and structure of the payroll teamEvaluating payroll & TA systems for functionality,



scalability & optimisation opportunitiesLeading transformation initiatives and implementing meaningful operational improvementsManaging a fortnightly payroll of approximately 300 employeesOverseeing one offshore Payroll OfficerWe're looking for a hands-on Payroll transformation specialist with proven experience reviewing and improving payroll functions within small to medium-sized businesses.
You'll be commercially minded, solutions-focused, and confident in leading change in a payroll environment.The assignment is expected to last anywhere between 3 and 6 months, possibly longer.
A daily rate between $700 and $800 per day is on offer, depending on your previous experience.
