Rocky Point Sugar Mill is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team on a full time basis.
Based in Woongoolba, Queensland, this role is integral to ensuring the safe and productive operation of our industrial electrical systems and equipment.
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems across our sugar mill operations, contributing directly to the productivity and safety of our facility.What we're looking forCurrent electrical licence or certification recognised in Queensland (such as an Electrician's Licence)Ability to work on 8 hour shifts (day, afternoon and night shifts)Proven experience working as an electrician,



preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings including LV motors and PLC systemsHolding or ability to hold a HV switching certification (company provided)Some industrial electrical experience is requiredExperience with instrumentation is highly valuedKey responsibilitiesInstall, maintain and repair electrical equipment, wiring systems, and control circuits throughout the sugar mill facilityConduct routine preventative maintenance on electrical systems to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiencyDiagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using testing equipment and technical knowledgeRespond promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergency repairs to maintain production schedulesEnsure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards, regulations and industry best practicesCollaborate with other maintenance team members and operational staff to support mill operationsMaintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs and equipment performance
