- Salary $123,048 - $133,957 p.a.(Pro Rata) AHP4 | 22.5 Hours Per Week – Ongoing

The MentalHealth Services Team has an exciting opportunity in Leadership at SALHN

Provideprofessional leadership and clinical expertise of an advanced level, whiledeveloping opportunities for research, education and training activities forthe psychology profession within Mental Health Services.

About therole:

Reportingto theAllied Health Director - Mental Health, this role is integral toproviding clinical leadership and governance to the Psychology professionacross Mental Health Services within SALHN.

Duties forthe role will include:

- Co-ordinating and leadingprofessional, efficient and effective psychology services within SALHNMental Health Services.
- Utilising expert clinicaljudgment to provide strategic advice on clinical matters affectingpsychology service planning decision, policy and workforce.
- Developing networks andcollaborative relationships with other clinical leads across SALHN MentalHealth Services to maximise co- ordination, role effectiveness, andpromote consistency in psychology workforce standards and servicedevelopment initiatives.
- Participating in the strategicdevelopment of allied health and associated initiatives across MentalHealth Services and SALHN Psychology
- Monitoring psychology servicesand practice standards across Mental Health Services to identify workstandards (in terms of both quality and quantity expectations per FTE asappropriate for the clinical context), priorities, and providerecommendations regarding allocation of psychology resources.
- Planning and implementingsupervision frameworks and structures,



that provide a mechanism for audit,assurance and continuous improvement of competency of all Psychologistswithin Mental Health Services. This includes the provision of clinicalsupervision, support and mentorship to AHP3 Senior Psychologists, AHP4Advanced Clinicians and other identified staff.
- Establishing own supervisionrelationship, mentorship and support relationships with peers.

To besuccessful in this role, you will have:

- Appropriate Degree or equivalentqualification and general registration with the Psychology Board ofAustralia within an Endorsed Areas of Practice - Clinical Psychology.
- Demonstrated experience inclinical leadership and the facilitation of service planning to ensureclinical best practice underpins the development of psychology and MentalHealth Services.
- Extensive clinical experience incollaborative development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation ofplanned interventions for consumers with high or complex needs.
- Ability to act as the centralpoint of contact for strategic consultation and liaison in relation topsychology service provision and to address clinical matters affecting psychology service planning decisions, policy and workforce.
- Demonstrated competencies tounderpin successful contribution to both Mental Health Services’ andAllied Health’s clinical governance systems to ensure outcomes consistentwith profession-specific, allied health, and Mental Health Services’standards, and organisational objectives




- Demonstrated ability tocommunicate and negotiate effectively, with staff and multidisciplinaryclinical teams, and as part of a leadership team.
