Sante Recruitment is seeking a motivated Career Medical Officer (CMO) to join the team at Dubbo Private Hospital . Responsibilities

As a Career Medical Officer, you will provide comprehensive inpatient medical care under the supervision of Specialist Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs).

- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations
- Manage inpatient care plans and document clinical findings
- Order and interpret investigations
- Prescribe medications and initiate appropriate treatments
- Respond to Medical Emergency Team (MET) calls
- Coordinate patient transfers where required
- Liaise with Specialists, General Practitioners, Allied Health and nursing staff
- Participate in discharge planning from admission through to discharge




- Counsell patients and their families regarding treatment plans
- Participate in clinical handovers, quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary meetings
- Perform procedures within your scope of practice

Procedural Skills

The successful candidate will be confident in a range of core procedural skills.

- Venepuncture and intravenous cannulation
- Airway management
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Defibrillation
- Intramuscular injections
- Secure administration of intravenous medications and fluids
- Blood product administration
- Suturing, wound care and bandaging
- Nasogastric tube insertion
- Urinary catheterisation
