FABRICATION SUPERVISOR - Henderson, WA — Australian Marine Complex

Kerr Engineering is a well-established and rapidly growing Western Australian fabrication and general engineering company is seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to join our team.

Based in Henderson within the Australian Marine Complex, we've built a strong reputation for efficiency, reliability, quality and workmanship. Our busy workshops handle structural steelwork, platework, equipment fabrication, machining and repair servicing.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll take ownership of workshop scheduling, quality, and team performance to ensure jobs are delivered on time and to standard.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, schedule and manage workflow through the workshop to meet lead times

Maintain a safe workshop environment in line with ISO 9001

Monitor fabrication quality and ensure work meets required standards

Follow ITPs and hold production at relevant hold points; notify the Operations Manager when client inspections are required

Report on job progress and flag when jobs are ready for the next process (e.g. NDT, surface treatment)

Manage jobs against the company WIP list to ensure on-time delivery

Mentor, guide and support the team, fostering a positive and motivated workplace culture

Raise TQs with the Operations Manager as needed

Provide hands-on problem-solving support for fabrication and welding challenges

What You'll Bring

Proven experience in a supervisory role within fabrication/engineering

Solid welding experience with sound knowledge of welding standards

Ability to work autonomously

Current WorkSafe-approved forklift licence





High level of commitment and reliability

Commitment to general upkeep of machinery and workshop
