The Opportunity

This is an ideal role for an experienced fund accounting or investment operations professional who combines disciplined daily execution with a builder's mindset. You'll join the Finance & Investment Operations team, overseeing accurate, timely and well-controlled operations across managed investment schemes and managed portfolios.

You'll get hands-on exposure to financial transactions, investment operations and reporting, from cash management and trade settlements through to unit pricing oversight, registry and fund administration, and end-to-end incident resolution. This is not a purely a BAU role. You'll be just as comfortable running daily processes as you are investigating an exception, challenging an external provider, documenting a control, or mapping an end-to-end process.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze daily financial transactions: fee payments, fund transfers,



cash management, trade settlements and unit pricing oversight.
- Perform daily validation of unit prices, investigating exceptions and discrepancies and resolving them within SLA and internal control requirements.
- Support preparation and analysis of investment, operational and financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain the integrity of investment operations data: portfolio information, transactions, market data and registry records.
- Investigate and resolve issues relating to unit pricing, registry, fund accounting and investment transactions, identifying root causes and recommending sustainable fixes.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Investments, Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance) and external providers (custodians, registry providers, fund administrators, auditors).
- Develop, improve and maintain operational procedures, controls and documentation.
- Participate in projects, system implementations and UAT, representing operational requirements.
- Support a strong risk and control culture through compliance with policy and regulatory standards.

About You

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.




- CA/CPA qualification or candidates currently studying towards this will be viewed favourably.
- 3-5+ years' experience in investment operations, unit pricing, fund administration or fund accounting.
- Sound understanding of managed funds, unit pricing oversight, cash/position reconciliations, trade settlement and operational controls.
- Experience working with custodians, fund administrators, registry providers, investment platforms and auditors.
- Proven ability to investigate complex operational breaks, determine root cause and drive resolution.
- Process/control documentation experience and exposure to system implementations or UAT highly regarded.
- Exposure to equities, managed funds, cash products, derivatives or structured exposures advantageous.
- Advanced Excel and data-analysis skills; familiarity with data mapping, SQL, APIs or workflow tools advantageous.
- Working knowledge of the Australian financial services regulatory environment and managed investment scheme obligations.
