Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Client and Industry analysis: conducting economic and industry analysis.
- Credit & Risk: supporting the coverage banker on credit and risk related issues when required by the credit process, and preparing transaction support memos for transactions involving corporate clients.
- Liaising with business lines: working in close cooperation with Infrastructure, Asset‑Backed Products, Debt Capital Markets, Acquisition Finance, Energy, Mining and Real Estate to assist in expanding business opportunities.
- Preparing presentation materials: identifying potential marketing opportunities and creating high‑quality pitch books and other marketing material for internal and external presentations.
- Data management: completing client database updates on internal tools, revenue tracking and supporting budget forecasting.
- Onboarding: providing assistance with the KYC process and other documentation for existing clients and the onboarding of new clients.
- Client intelligence & coordination: supporting roadshow event management and other key client meetings, preparing briefing notes for c‑suite client meetings and recording minutes.
- Assisting with deal flows: developing and reviewing deal checklists, and assisting with the submission and end‑to‑end coordination of the transaction approval process.

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge Required

- University degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, Economics or Law).




- No previous work experience is required; however, prior investment banking or finance experience would be considered favorably.
- Strong ability in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office generally.
- Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia. There is no visa sponsorship available for this role.

Department Description

We are recruiting for a Graduate Trainee – Corporate Coverage to join us on a full‑time fixed‑term basis for 12 months. The role supports the Head of Corporate Coverage Australia, assisting with the implementation and deployment of a multi‑tiered coverage strategy with corporate clients to deliver insightful and strategic support. The Graduate Trainee will handle all support tasks related to coverage activity, including client engagement, marketing activities, onboarding, KYC, transaction documentation and administrative duties.
