As our long‑term, major operations and maintenance contract continues to grow, we are seeking several talented Electrical Maintenance Trades Technicians to join our team at Amberley RAAF base – South East Queensland.

- Support the Defence Fuel Network across Australia, ensuring electrical maintenance and technical excellence and reliability.
- Contribute directly to the success of a program essential to national defence capability.
- Work alongside industry experts, Defence partners, and UGL’s outstanding teams.

The Role

Reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be based at RAAF Amberley, supporting surrounding locations in the South East QLD region, with occasional regional travel. You will be a part of a core crew of UGL technicians.

- Perform scheduled electrical maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment.




- Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment.
- Electrical project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment.
- Support subcontracted work packages as required.
- Support various sites in the region, with the occasional requirement to travel throughout South East QLD.

The Rates:

- Level 1 – $47.25 p/h + Super – Plus Licence Allowance (52.06 Weekly) & Tool Allowance ($37.63 Weekly)
- Level 2 – $50.96 p/h + Super – Plus Licence Allowance (52.06 Weekly) & Tool Allowance ($37.63 Weekly)
- Level 3 (Dual Trade) – $54.70 p/h + Super – Plus Licence Allowance (52.06 Weekly) & Tool Allowance ($37.63 Weekly)

What you Need

- A-grade electrical licence with relevant post‑trade experience.
- Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) trained required.
- Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas.
- Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regarded.
- Safety is at the forefront of everything you do!
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance.
