Continent Geotech Services are currently seeking a Laboratory and Field Geotechnician , preferably but not essential with nuclear density gauge license to join us at our Thomastown facility. This role is permanent contract for a suitable candidate for ongoing employment. Previous experience in a similar role for 2-3 years is desirable. As a small company, there is an opportunity to grow and learn a range of skills with a good reward.
Reporting to the our Laboratory Manager, the main responsibilities will involve undertaking field and laboratory testing for earthworks and geotechnical projects.

- Minimum education level of Year 12 or Certificate III qualification
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Soil Sample Preparation
- Testing - Compaction/Others
- Manual Handling of Samples
- Field Sampling and Testing
- Pavement Investigations
- Power Tools and Manual Work
- Calculations and Data Analysis
- Computer Data Entry
- Work with Quality Manual and Relative Standards
- Follow Safe Work Methods
Candidates will need to have a Construction Induction Card (White Card), a driver's license.
Valid Australian work visa or work rights are accepted for this position.
