Local Mix is looking for experienced Heavy Rigid Drivers.

We need quality heavy rigid drivers to help us service our valued customers in the busy local construction industry.

No concrete experience required, but you need to be a secure and capable Heavy Rigid driver with a good driving record and a minimum of 2 years experience in Heavy Rigid trucks, a commitment to safe work practices and most of all…..common sense.

All trucks are automatic and uniform is supplied after completing the trial period.

Local Mix is a Geelong owned, Family business, established in 1971, specialising in premium concrete products.

Based at Moolap, our Concrete Agitator fleet services Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast. The work is consistent with plenty of variety.

Our drivers say the best thing about the job is the variety, no two days are the same and we service a wide area so you could go anywhere from the Bellarine Peninsula, Geelong or we go as far as Lorne down the Great Ocean Road. Houses, office buildings, driveways, footpaths, you name it, if it has concrete in it we do it, one of the coolest things about the job is seeing projects being completed and then seeing the finished product and how good it turns out.

Local Mix has modernized our systems and fleet to move with the times and ensure we operate in a safe and efficient way. We operate an in house maintenance division so our trucks and machinery are kept in top operating condition. Using an App drivers can report any issues or faults directly to the Workshop, this ensures our fleet is kept in a road worthy and safe condition at all times.

To be successful you must have or be willing to do the following:

Have your HR License (or higher is an advantage)

VicRoads driver history report.

Construction Induction Card must be obtained before starting employment.

Australian Citizen or be living in Australia with a work visa

Pass a medical including drug and alcohol screening and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.

We pay above award rates, hourly rates plus overtime and allowances as per the award.

Drivers start on casual on a 3 month trial basis, after the three month trial, approved applicants will be offered full time employment.
