About us

Blackwood Family Lawyers is a highly regarded CBD firm practising exclusively in family law. We have been recognised as a 5-star Employer of Choice for two consecutive years in the Australasian Lawyer Awards. Our team of 26 includes 15 family lawyers, 6 of whom are Accredited Family Law Specialists. We are looking for an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join our busy practice.

The role

As the successful candidate, you will be experienced in running your own family law files and providing excellent client service. You will work on a range of matters including all aspects of property and financial settlements (including companies, trusts and self-managed superannuation funds) and parenting arrangements (including relocation).

In return, you will join a friendly and vibrant team of dedicated lawyers and efficient support staff.

Responsibilities

- Run your own family law files from end to end
- Operate autonomously with the ability to draw on a wealth of experience from others
- Negotiate matters to settlement
- Court appearances
- Build a strong rapport with your clients

Skills and experience





- Experienced Associate or Senior Associate
- Ideal candidate will be an Accredited Specialist in Family Law or working towards Accreditation
- Demonstrated ability to manage your own matters from start to finish
- Well developed strategy and negotiation skills
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
