Registered Nurse / Treatment Coordinator – Dental Surgery

About Us

Join one of Geelong's leading dental practices, specialising in dental implants, full-arch rehabilitation, and advanced patient care. We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse / Treatment Coordinator to support our growing clinical team.

This is a unique dual-role opportunity combining hands-on clinical nursing with patient coordination. You will work alongside our dentists and surgical team while also guiding patients through their treatment journey—from their initial consultation to surgery and post-operative care.

No previous dental experience is required. We provide comprehensive training for the right Registered Nurse.

Sponsorship

Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate. Applicants seeking sponsorship must hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and already be residing in Australia.

About the Role

This role combines clinical nursing with treatment coordination.

Clinical Nursing Responsibilities

- Assist in dental implant and oral surgery procedures.
- Work as an Anaesthetic Nurse, Scout Nurse, Recovery Nurse and Admissions Nurse where required.
- Prepare patients before procedures and provide post-operative care.
- Maintain high clinical and infection control standards.
- Support the clinical team to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Meet with patients to discuss treatment plans.




- Explain treatment options, procedures and associated fees.
- Coordinate appointments and surgical bookings.
- Liaise with dentists, specialists and referring practitioners.
- Build strong relationships with patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Assist patients with finance options and consent documentation.
- Support reception and patient administration when required.

About You

- You are a caring Registered Nurse who enjoys building relationships with patients and providing exceptional service.
- You are confident communicating with people, organised, and excited to learn a current specialty within dentistry.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in at least one of the following: Anaesthetic Nursing, Scrub/Scout Nursing, Recovery Nursing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Commitment to outstanding patient care.
- Willingness to learn dentistry and implant surgery.
- Experience in patient coordination or case management.
- Experience in private healthcare.
- Knowledge of D4W or similar software (advantageous but not essential).
