Client

Our client is an independent, Australian owned company, which provides premium services in national road freight distribution, express and specialised transport and supply chain management. Together we are now looking to recruit a highly motivated, reliable and experienced MR Drivers in Derrmut (Must be able to move across to the Tullamarine site)

About the role

You will be working in the Specialised division. This division handles sensitive freight requiring white glove service and a high level of care.

Start and finish times

Starts can be anywhere from 5am–7am and will vary depending on the day’s requirements. A shift is typically 8–11 hours.

Type of work involved

Multi-drop. We usually complete 6–15 jobs per day across Melbourne. They also have occasional regional deliveries which may result in an overnight stay, with accommodation and meal allowances provided.

Nature of freight being transported

Sensitive freight, with a white glove service approach. This includes anywhere from 2 to 4 people per job depending on weight, sensitivity, and onsite requirements. Some days the driver will work solo, and other days as part of a 2-person team.

Employment status

The roles will be ongoing with Jobwire, until sufficient hours/time have been served, after which you will be transferred to clients' books.

Truck type

All trucks are automatic. Ideally, successful candidates will have tail lift and pallet jack experience,



however this is not a deal breaker as training will be provided.

The Requirements

- Minimum 2 years MR driving experience
- Must be physically fit and willing to complete manual handling tasks
- Forklift licence
- Must be willing to assist with loading/unloading when required
- Own transport preferred
- Robust communication skills
- Well-presented, reliable, punctual, and highly motivated
- Clean criminal history and satisfactory driving record
- Must be able to move from the derrimut site to the tullamarine site
