The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced People & Capability Co‑Ordinator (also referred to as a People Operations / P&C; Co‑Ordinator) to support people operations, workforce welfare, WHS coordination and compliance activities across our three Australian businesses.
This is a shared services role with real responsibility and autonomy. You will work closely with internal teams, leadership and external providers to ensure people processes are consistent, compliant and fit for purpose in complex, regulated industries.
This is not an entry‑level or graduate role, and it is not a standalone HR advisory or employee relations role. It is suited to an experienced coordinator who can confidently draft policies, manage sensitive welfare matters and operate independently within established frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
People Operations & Workforce Support
Provide coordination and support across the employee and contractor lifecycle.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for office‑based employees.
Prepare statements of service and upkeep employment documentation for field staff such as Agency Handbooks and Employment Letters.
Support workforce engagement initiatives, including surveys and feedback activities.
Maintain accurate people and workforce records.
PALM Scheme: Workforce Welfare & Compliance
Conduct regular welfare check‑ins with our PALM Scheme workforce.
Liaise with welfare officers and stakeholders located on the ground.
Maintain PALM Scheme records, including personal information updates, welfare matters and feedback in the relevant government portal.
Support ethical, culturally appropriate and compliant workforce management practices.
Work Health & Safety (WHS)
Support office‑based WHS activities and risk assessments.
Assist with WHS risk assessments for client workplaces where agency staff are placed.
Develop and maintain WHS checklists, tools and guidance materials.
Train and support recruitment consultants to complete WHS checks during site visits.
Coordinate basic return‑to‑work activities for injured field staff in collaboration with external WHS consultants.
Draft, review and maintain policies and procedures for office and field staff, including writing policies from scratch.
Support the ongoing maintenance of agency handbooks and workforce documentation.
Ensure policies and procedures align with relevant legislation, WHS requirements and industry standards across healthcare,
aged care and childcare.
Manage low‑risk behavioural complaints involving field staff (non‑clinical).
Support appropriate conversations, documentation and outcomes in line with policy and procedural fairness.
Escalate complex matters where required.
About You
You bring solid experience in people operations, HR coordination, workforce compliance or WHS, ideally within regulated industries such as healthcare, aged care, childcare, community services or labour‑hire.
You are confident drafting and maintaining policies and procedures, including writing documents from the ground up and ensuring alignment with legislation and regulatory requirements.
You are comfortable working with field‑based and dispersed workforces.
You bring empathy, professionalism and sound judgement to welfare‑related and behavioural matters.
You are highly organised, practical and able to manage work independently, while knowing when to escal
You value structure, compliance, ethical practice and clear documentation.
