Overview & Purpose of the Role

You will support the Senior Leadership Team in line with Bahrain Surf Park's Vision, Mission and Values. People are our business. As an L&D; Specialist, you will provide comprehensive coordination, administrative assistance and operational oversight for training and engagement activities — supporting our team through targeted training initiatives, managing the engagement calendar, and facilitating learning and development so we remain a World Class Visitor Experience and a Great Place to Work.

Reports to: Human Resources and Training Manager

What You Do

- L&D; Administration & Coordination:
- Respond professionally to training enquiries made by individuals calling or visiting the HR office.
- Provide accurate information on training policies, schedules and development procedures to team members and managers.
- Maintain training logs, distribute certificates and manage personnel development files.
- Monitor workshop attendance and completion; flag challenges to leadership and assist with training budget tracking.
- Refer complex career development or performance issues promptly to the HR & Training Manager.
- Help plan L&D; programmes and create materials — training memos, e-learning flyers and internal newsletters.

- Learning & Development Oversight:

- Plan, coordinate and deliver corporate training programmes including orientation, Aloha Spirit culture and leadership series.
- Review and update all training materials to ensure company standards are met and measured.
- Analyse training needs and observe team members in the workplace to detect performance,



guest interaction or policy adherence concerns.

- Team Engagement & Satisfaction:

- Set and manage a comprehensive annual HR Engagement Calendar with monthly activities and wellness initiatives.
- Design and run regular employee engagement surveys; turn results into action plans that lift workplace satisfaction.
- Create unique team activities and events that foster a positive culture and strong team synergy.
- Champion initiatives that enhance workplace happiness and align with BSP's Vision and Values.

- Health & Safety:

- Assist in providing a safe and secure environment for all customers and team members.
- Ensure safe working practices at all times.

What You Bring

- Qualification: Bachelor's degree (preferred L&D; or HR qualification).
- Experience: 5+ years professional experience, including leading or training large/diverse teams in hospitality or leisure.
- Languages: Written and spoken English AND Arabic.
- Excellent communicator; computer literate (MS Office — Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work under pressure with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Honest, ethical, transparent and fair.
- Approachable, hard-working, hands-on with a "do it now" attitude; self-motivated, energetic, innovative with positive energy.
