We are seeking an experienced Quality, Safety & Compliance Manager to lead and enhance our Integrated Management System (IMS) and provide strategic support across quality, safety, compliance, security, and injury management functions.

About the Role:

This is a pivotal, newly created role, where you will work closely with the General Manager, Site Managers, and supervisors to ensure our operations meet legislative, contractual, certification, and operational requirements while supporting safe, efficient, and compliant business outcomes at our sites in Wangaratta and Oaklands.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our Integrated Management System, encompassing:

- Quality Management (ISO 9001)
- Health, Safety & Environment
- Injury Management & Return to Work
- Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) Compliance
- Governance, Audit & Assurance Activities

You will act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, providing expert guidance, reporting, assurance, and practical support to drive compliance and business performance across multiple sites.





Key Responsibilities:

Integrated Management Systems

- Maintain and continuously improve the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Manage document control, procedures, standards, registers, and records.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, management reviews, and certification activities.
- Monitor non-conformances, incidents, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives.
- Develop meaningful quality, safety, and compliance reporting and performance metrics.

Quality Management

- Maintain and support ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Lead audit programs, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.
- Monitor quality trends and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Support external certification and surveillance audits.

Safety & Compliance

- Develop and improve health and safety management systems.
- Provide expert advice on risk management, incident investigations, and safe work practices.
- Conduct site inspections, compliance audits, and risk-based reviews.
- Support training, toolbox talks, and workforce awareness programs.
- Foster a proactive safety culture across the business.

Injury Management & Return to Work

- Coordinate injury management and return-to-work programs.




- Liaise with employees, managers, insurers, medical providers, and rehabilitation specialists.
- Monitor claims performance and ensure compliance with workers compensation obligations.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Tertiary qualification in Quality, WHS, Engineering, Science, Business or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in Quality, Safety, Compliance, or Integrated Management Systems leadership.
- Robust working knowledge of ISO 9001 and health and safety management systems.
- Experience coordinating audits, investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Sound understanding of Australian WHS/OHS legislation and workers compensation requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, coaching, and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- High attention to detail with excellent documentation and governance skills.
- Experience with Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) requirements will be highly regarded but training in this will be supported.
