About the Opportunity
Our client is one of Australia’s fastest-growing businesses within the renewable energy industry.
The warehouse plays a critical role in supporting inventory management and supplier coordination. This position is responsible not only for supervising warehouse activities but also for driving continuous improvement, maintaining inventory integrity and supporting an efficient end-to-end supply chain.
As part of an international supply chain, the role also works closely with manufacturing partners and suppliers in China, requiring effective communication across both Australian and Chinese business environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing and dispatch
- Lead, coach and support warehouse team members to achieve operational objectives
- Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counts and effective stock control
- Coordinate inbound deliveries from suppliers and logistics providers
- Ensure timely material supply to production and operational departments
- Coordinate outbound shipments to branches and customers across Australia
- Maintain warehouse organisation and maximise storage efficiency
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety requirements
- Monitor warehouse performance through operational KPIs
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Production, Quality and Operations teams
- Support warehouse system improvements and inventory optimisation projects
About You
You are a hands-on leader who enjoys building efficient warehouse operations and developing people.
You are organised, proactive and capable of balancing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy and customer service.
You are comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-growing business where continuous improvement is encouraged.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Team Leader or Senior Storeperson
- Experience within production, supply chain, manufacturing, automotive, caravan or industrial distribution environments
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse best practices
- Experience using ERP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Current Forklift Licence (LF) is highly desirable
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Good computer literacy including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset
Language Requirement
As this position regularly communicates with manufacturing partners, suppliers and logistics teams in China, professional working proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is required.
The successful candidate will use both languages to coordinate supply chain activities, resolve operational issues and support efficient communication between Australian operations and Chinese business partners.
