As a result of continuous national growth, LAI Group is seeking a Graduate Project Coordinator to join our team at our manufacturing plant in Epping. We would like team members who are excited about the opportunity to build a stable, rewarding, and lucrative career with us.

Schedule

A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime)

Salary (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration)

The Position

As a Project Coordinator for switchboards, you will be assisting the project manager in the design and construction of custom-built switchboards for the Mining, Oil & Gas, Renewables Infrastructure and General Electrical Industry for our customers across Australia for a variety of industries.

As a Project Coordinator, you will provide support to switchboards projects, liaise with your site team and help drive the program to an effective and successful conclusion. You will also assist in developing project timeframes and correspond with the relevant stakeholders including the client, and internal staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Liaise with customers, develop, and maintain customer relationships
- Maintaining and organizing project plans, contracts, invoices, and schedules.
- Scheduling meetings, recording minutes, and organizing project logistics.
- Tracking expenditures, managing purchase orders, and assisting with project billing




- Collating and generating project status reports to update stakeholders on progress.
- Establish and maintain accurate files for all project documentation, which ensure ease of retrieval
- Aiding the Project Management Manager as required

The Candidate

- The successful candidate ideally has recently graduated and is looking for their first opportunity into the field.
- Excellent communication skills, customer service skills, coupled with effective trouble shooting skills
- knowledge on project management principles
- Ability to manage the competing demands of multi, simultaneous projects
- Establishing, managing, and reporting on project schedule, delivery, and stake holder management
- Intermediate computer skills predominantly Excel, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of electrical standards and wiring rules
- Ability to interpret single line diagrams and schematics

Desired Competencies

- Electrical Trade or Electrical Engineering Qualification
- Project Management tertiary qualification
- Switchboard design and experience
