We work with Boards, Chairs, CEOs and private equity-backed leadership teams to appoint senior executives and directors across Australia's mid-market. Our work is methodical, relationship-driven and delivered at a high level for the clients we serve. We're now looking for an Executive Search Research Associate to join our national team of five Partners and a fellow Associate.

About the Role

You'll be the research engine behind a busy, collaborative executive search team. This is a research-first role: roughly 90% of your time will be spent identifying, mapping and profiling talent, with the remainder focused on candidate care and spotting potential business opportunities as they surface through your research.

Day-to-day, you'll be across:

- Building longlists and market maps through deep desktop research, LinkedIn sourcing and CRM mining
- Preparing candidate briefing packs and profiles for Partner review
- Coordinating with local and offshore research support to keep searches moving at pace
- Conducting pre-screens and reference checks
- Maintaining CRM excellence and data integrity across active searches
- Delivering timely, professional, and discreet candidate care across the search lifecycle
- Identifying potential business leads and market intelligence through your research and candidate conversations




- Staying across how AI and new tools are changing research and sourcing practices

Who You Are

You're a researcher at heart: curious, thorough and quietly relentless about finding the right person, not just an available one. You might be:

- An experienced recruitment researcher or resourcer looking for a role with real depth and variety
- A search professional who wants to specialise in research rather than billing
- Someone with strong LinkedIn, headhunting and desktop sourcing skills who is ready to apply them at the executive and Board-level

You'll bring:

- Prior recruitment or executive search research experience
- Confident, fluent use of LinkedIn and alternate channels for sourcing and market mapping
- Comfort working within a CRM, with an eye for data integrity and process
- Genuine interest and curiosity in how AI is changing recruitment research
- Strong attention to detail and the judgement to know what matters when profiling senior candidates
- A proactive, intuitive approach: you spot opportunities and gaps before being asked
