Join the Far North Far West (FNFW) team as a Practice Leader and help shape high-quality child protection practice. The FNFW team delivers critical services across Ceduna, Port Augusta, Port Lincoln, Port Pirie, Whyalla, Coober Pedy and the APY Lands, working alongside regional communities to support children, young people and families.

Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will provide expert guidance that promotes continuous improvement and strengthens practice within DCP.

These short-term backfill opportunities are suited to employees seeking a developmental opportunity to broaden their experience across the organisation.

Key areas of contribution:

- Providing practice leadership that supports high-quality, consistent service delivery
- Building practitioner capability through coaching, mentoring and reflective learning
- Supporting informed decision-making through expert advice and consultation on complex practice matters
- Leading quality improvement initiatives that promote learning and continuous improvement
- Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to strengthen child protection outcomes across DCP.

- A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
