Occupational Therapists - Sydney, Hunter, Gold Coast, Melbourne
$140-150 per hour | Flexible Schedule | Sydney and Newcastle based |
We’re currently seeking experienced Occupational Therapists to join our team as independent contractors in Sydney, Gold Coast, Melbourne or the Hunter NSW area.
You will work collaboratively with a team of case managers, Allied Health practitioners, and support coordinators to support a diverse client load of aged care and NDIS participants. You will be creating/delivering therapy plans, completing functional assessments and clinical reports for NDIS/aged care funding reviews, and prescribing assistive technology and home modifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide mobile OT services to Kinder Caring’s aged care and NDIS clients
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' functional abilities and rehabilitation needs
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to address clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs
- Prepare clinical reports for NDIS or aged care assessments and funding reviews
- Prescribe equipment/assistive technology and home modification recommendations
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including case managers, allied health practitioners and support coordinators, to optimise client outcomes
- Document client progress and update treatment plans accordingly
- Provide appropriately targeted education for clients, carers and staff as required
What You’ll Need
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- AHPRA registration
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with aged care clients and/or NDIS participants
- Excellent communication, time management, and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
- ABN and relevant insurances (professional indemnity, public liability, comprehensive car insurance)
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
