THE JOB

Staffing the emergency departments of Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital ED and other Corewell Health Emergency Departments.Full-time, 8 - 12 hour shifts on average, in-person.Teaching opportunities, if desired, with MSU students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide immediate care and attention to critically injured or seriously illpatients and provide life saving measures and care as needed.
- Conduct preliminary diagnosis and prescribe necessary treatment.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, and explainthe results to patients.
- Coordinatewith other healthcare professionals to oversee patient care, treatment, and immediate recovery.
- Monitor patients’ progress and keep records of treatment, procedures,or other medical events.
- Oversee APPs course of care for patients in the emergency department.
- Prepare patients for examinations and conductroutine procedures.
- Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for the patients.
- Comply strictly with medical care regulations, laws, and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with EM team members andvarious specialties.

MUST HAVE

- Michigan Medical License.
- Board Certification as an Emergency Medicine Physician.
- EM trained with a Peds EM Fellowship.
- DEA licensure, ACLS certification, and PALS certification.
- Must be able to reliably commute/relocate to Petoskey, MI.
