Kyvalley Dairy is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team at our Kyabram facility in Victoria. This is a full-time position offering a challenging opportunity to maintain and repair critical equipment and machinery across our dairy operations. As a Maintenance Fitter, you will play an essential role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment, directly supporting our operational targets and business continuity.

What you'll be doing

- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery, equipment and systems
- Identifying, diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults and equipment failures
- Conducting routine inspections, servicing and repairs to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, maintenance manuals and equipment specifications
- Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to minimise downtime and enhance operational efficiency
- Working collaboratively with operational teams to prioritise maintenance activities
- Adhering to all safety protocols and contributing to a safe working environment

What we're looking for

- A relevant trade qualification in fitting, machining, mechanical engineering or a related discipline
- Ability to work a 12 hour, 4 on 4 off day and night shift rotating roster.
- Proven experience working as a fitter or in a similar maintenance role within a manufacturing or food production environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills




- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Sound understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Current or the ability to obtain relevant safety certifications as required for the role
