Human Resources Business Partner at Karbon. About the role Karbon is seeking a commercially focused People Business Partner to support our Engineering and Product leadership teams. You will report to the VP of People and act as a strategic advisor, using data and AI-driven insights to influence organizational health and performance.

What you'll do

- Partner directly with the Chief Product Officer and Chief Technology Officer to align people strategies with business objectives.
- Use AI tools and agentic workflows to automate tasks, analyze data, and generate actionable insights for leadership.
- Manage complex employment relations cases while coaching managers to handle issues independently.
- Ensure compliance with Australian employment law, contemporary awards, and WHS standards.
- Provide constructive challenge to senior leadership regarding business and people risks.
- Collaborate with Talent and People Ops teams to support the employee lifecycle across our global regions.




- Lead specific HR initiatives and change management projects.

Requirements

- Minimum 4 years of experience as an HR Advisor or People Business Partner.
- Background in SaaS or high-growth technology environments.
- Practical knowledge of Australian employment law, Fair Work, and WHS regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility with senior executives.
- Hands‑on experience using AI tools to improve HR workflows and data analysis.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives independently.
- Experience in workforce planning and organizational design.
